You know me. I’m your bike.
But maybe I’m still in your mind, frame and cables and components just waiting to be put together like a puzzle that sets you free.
I’m part compadre, part co-conspirator. Together we’ll find all the backroads and finish lines. We’ll know when to jump during a sprint, and how to dig deep as we climb the hardest part of the hill.
Don’t mean to brag, but I’m exactly the right size for you. You won’t get numb hands from being too stretched out, or sore knees because the pedal extension isn’t quite right. Because, well, I was made for you. The funny thing is that I'm cost-comparative to all the other bikes on the road and the triathlon racks. We won’t tell the others, though.
The bottom line? I got your back. Let’s ride.
Rocket Bicycle Studio chooses our bike brands carefully. Very carefully. We look for builders who blend artisan craftmanship with aerospace materials. Folks who are so good, we’d trust them with less important things than bikes…like, say, open-heart surgery. We’ve talked to them, we’ve looked them in the eye, and we know they can make the most perfect bike for you. Because, let’s face it: your fingerprint is unique. Your bike should be too.
Born in Montreal, GURU bikes are custom-crafted, frame by frame, based on individual rider specifications. All steps – from carbon layup and metal welding to final clear coat – are done in-house in GURU’s manufacturing facility. GURU’s composites program pushes the boundaries of custom manufacturing: F.E.A.-tested, seamless frame designs that take full advantage of carbon fiber's tensile properties… an in-house carbon lay-up methodology that precisely determines the material’s location and direction … a proprietary molding process that uses internal pressurization to generate singular, monocoque parts with an exceptional fiber-to-resin ratio. Based on aerospace standards, it's all rigorously engineered to deliver the purest, most powerful ride you've ever experienced.
GURU custom bicycles are available in aluminum, titanium or carbon for road or time trial frames. Starting at $3000.
How custom bicycle consultations work:
When you purchase a custom-built GURU frame, we are your partners from start to finish.
Your first step is to meet with Jessica Laufenberg, M.S., CSCS, USAT Level II Coach and Owner of SBR Coaching. An Exercise Physiologist and Kinesiologist with extensive training in biomechanics, Jessica will interview you to discuss your riding style and goals, take physical measurements and conduct a flexibility assessment. Advanced fitting using the GURU Dynamic Fit Unit is available for an additional fee. Once the exact dimensions are determined for each piece of your custom-built bike, Jessica will speak directly with an engineer at GURU to formulate a spec layout of your new bicycle. Upon your approval, production will take 8-10 weeks.
A 60% deposit is required upon ordering, and the remaining 40% is payable upon delivery.
Our guidance doesn’t stop there. Peter and Jeff will consult with you to customize your bicycle with handlebars, components, wheel set and seat. Whether you want to bling your bike with color-coordinated cables and handlebar tape or make the perfect gruppo and saddle combination, we’re all about the details.
Upon delivery, your second meeting with Jessica will be a dynamic fit session. Jessica will use Dartfish Video Evaluation Software to dial in your bike fit, then conduct a Spin Scan program to analyze your pedal stroke. You’ll go home with the perfect fit on the perfect bike for you – and, as a bonus, suggested workouts, drills, and exercises to specifically improve your pedaling technique. The cost for these consultations? Nothing. It’s simply part of the Rocket Bicycle Studio experience.
In the periodic table of the elements, Argon is one of six naturally occurring noble gases. In cycling, Argon 18 is a brand dedicated to technical innovation and refined aesthetics.
Founded in 1989 by Canadian cycling legend Gervais Rioux, Argon 18 leverages exclusive design elements such as fully integrated bullhorn/tribar extensions in the ONEness system, 3D headtube design, and carbon formulations specific for each frameset. Every Argon model exhibits a very specific road feel, distinct from the other models in the line.
LOOK’s place in cycling history is best summarized in one word: legendary. LOOK introduced the first clipless pedal in 1983 and the first carbon frame in 1986. Ever restless, LOOK engineers have never slowed down – registering 169 patents between 1998 and 2009, for example. LOOK technology ranges from the completely redesigned Keo Blade pedal system to JDD headsets to elastomer-dampened seat posts. New designs are tested in a Formula 1 wind tunnel in Nevers Magny-Cours. And LOOK was the first in the industry to incorporate carbon nanotubes into their composites. This relentless creativity led INPI (the National Institute of Industrial Property) to award LOOK with its Most Innovative Company trophy in 2002 and 2009. And how does all that technology, well, look? Once again, just one word sums it up: stunning.
